Minor Girl Publicly Flogged in Bannu, Sparks Outrage

A disturbing video circulating on social media shows a young girl being publicly flogged in the Bannu district after reportedly failing to comply with a strict dress code. The incident has triggered strong condemnation and concern over the safety of women and children in the area.
According to reports, individuals linked to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, TTP carried out the punishment in public, drawing a crowd of onlookers. The video has raised alarms about the presence of militant elements and the imposition of parallel justice systems in parts of the province.
Human rights advocates have urged the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Government of Pakistan to investigate the incident and take immediate action against those responsible.
Authorities have yet to issue an official statement as the incident continues to spark outrage nationwide.
